DYZTRK (:distrek) is an electronic music duo from Jakarta-Indonesia that plays 8-bit music (chiptune) using Nintendo Gameboy with LSDJ software. DYZTRK’s music is all about danceable beats and simple melodies. DYZTRK’s music genres are Electro and House.
DYZTRK is a side project consisting of Mohamad Caesar Rizal (Gameboy operator, beats, sampler, effects processor) and Aldhan Prasatya (Gameboy operator, melodies, white noise, effects processor). Caesar is the drummer of a band named Soulvibe while Aldhan is the keyboard player of a band named Storia.
DYZTRK was born on July 23rd, 2007 when Caesar and Aldhan attended an 8-bit music event in Jakarta-Indonesia called “Pesta Mikro Vol. 1”. They were amazed by all of the performers at the show. They were inspired to collaborate to make their own music.
